Plant in full sun to part shade. Likes rich moist soil. Tiny seedlings are slow to get started, but very hardy once established. Start indoors in a sunny window and transplant for better results. Sow anytime in mild climates or in the spring for cold areas. Scatter seeds on soil surface and barely cover the fine soil. Keep plants evenly moist until established.
Begin harvesting after plants are well established. Use individual sprigs as needed or cut back entire plant to one inch above the base. Freeze or dry in a shady location.
